Holy cow! Our friend and fellow Baltimore creative Amy Sherald made history today. She and Kehinde Wiley both revealed their portraits of Michelle and Barack Obama (respectively) at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. Amy's portrait captured the 'charm and hotness of the woman I love' said Barack Obama at the ceremony today.
How amazing is that??!?
Amy has been living in Baltimore for a bunch of years now and her story is an incredible one. We had the privilege of making a video of her for our artist series and in making it we found out that she is truly a living miracle. Of course, you have to watch the video to find out why...
